Terms of Use
Last updated: September 2026
These terms cover the From Tiny Hands app and its subscriptions. They are written to be read by a parent or carer, in plain language.
1. Who these terms are for
These Terms of Use are an agreement between you, the adult who downloads or pays for From Tiny Hands, and Danilo Gonçalo Silvestre Sebastião, an independent operator in Portugal trading as From Tiny Hands. The app is intended to be set up and supervised by an adult. By downloading or using the app you agree to these terms on behalf of your household.
2. Licence to use the app
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use From Tiny Hands on devices you own or control, for personal family use. You may not resell the app, copy or redistribute its recipes, videos, audio or artwork, reverse engineer it, or use its content for commercial purposes without written permission.
3. Cooking safety and adult supervision
From Tiny Hands shows real cooking activities that involve real tools, heat, raw ingredients and potential allergens. An adult must supervise a child at all times while cooking. You are responsible for judging which steps are appropriate for your child, for checking ingredients against allergies and dietary needs, and for handling anything hot or sharp. The app is educational content and is not food safety, medical, nutritional or allergy advice.
4. Subscriptions and Apple In-App Purchase
Access to the full recipe library is sold as an auto-renewing subscription. Subscriptions purchased on iOS are processed through Apple In-App Purchase and are billed to your Apple Account, not directly by us. Current prices are shown on the Pricing page and inside the app before you confirm any purchase, and Apple shows the final price and billing period at the moment of purchase.
5. Free trial, renewal and cancellation
Where a free trial is offered, it converts into a paid subscription unless you cancel before it ends. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the period ends. You can cancel or manage renewal at any time in your Apple Account subscription settings on your device. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
6. Refunds
Because Apple handles the payment, refunds for purchases made through Apple In-App Purchase are requested from and decided by Apple through its standard refund process. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us as well and we will help where we can.
7. The optional Kitchen Master Kit
The physical Kitchen Master Kit is an optional companion sold through our separate online shop, and purchases of it are governed by the shop's own sale, shipping and returns terms rather than by this app agreement. The app does not require the kit.
8. Content and availability
We add, update and occasionally retire recipes, features and downloadable content. We aim to keep the service available and working, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and features may change between app versions or across devices and operating system versions.
9. Privacy
How the app handles data is described in our Privacy Policy. Please read it alongside these terms.
10. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, From Tiny Hands is provided on an as is basis, and we are not liable for injury, loss or damage arising from cooking activities, from use of tools or ingredients, or from reliance on the app without adult supervision. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the app evolves. The date below shows the most recent revision, and continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised terms.
12. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent to hello@fromtinyhands.com, by phone at +351 935 658 980, or by post to Apartado 000013, EC Odivelas, 2676-901 Odivelas, Portugal. This is a correspondence address, not a returns address. We aim to reply promptly.
